Our approach

How We Work

AGRISOL follows an integrated, demand-driven methodology structured around four core phases: analysis, co-creation, deployment, and evaluation. We start by mapping APV framework conditions and engaging stakeholders to understand real-world needs. We then co-design support measures and tools, deploy them with at least 30 market actors and farmers, and continuously monitor impact through an ESG evaluation framework. This iterative approach ensures our outputs are evidence-based, replicable, and tailored to the diverse regulatory and agricultural contexts across participating EU countries.

Our Four Phases

A Structured Path to APV Market Uptake

Each phase builds on the previous, ensuring evidence-based and stakeholder-validated support at every step.

01

Assess

Map APV framework conditions, barriers, market dynamics, and stakeholder attitudes across target EU countries.

02

Design

Develop tailored business, financial, and technical support measures and launch the Stakeholder Engagement Platform.

03

Deploy

Deliver demand-driven support services to at least 30 APV market actors, farmers, and agribusinesses.

04

Evaluate

Monitor performance, measure societal acceptance, validate findings, and publish policy recommendations.

Stakeholder Engagement

Co-Creating Solutions with Market Actors and Farmers

AGRISOL places stakeholders at the heart of its methodology. Through participatory workshops, focus groups, and the AGRISOL Stakeholder Engagement Platform, farmers, PV companies, agribusinesses, and policymakers co-design the support measures that best address their specific needs. This co-creation approach increases ownership, improves relevance, and accelerates the adoption of agrivoltaic solutions at local and national level.

Policy and Dissemination

Shaping the EU Agrivoltaics Enabling Environment

In parallel with support deployment, AGRISOL develops evidence-based APV policy recommendations at national and EU level, disseminated to more than 100 policymakers. The project also produces an AGRISOL Replication Handbook to enable other regions and organisations to replicate proven APV market uptake approaches beyond the project lifetime.
